Let's forget who would be prime minister, Farooq Abdullah advises Kharge. Cong leader responds

The Congress had advocated for the unification of secular and socialist forces during its plenary session in Raipur last month in its political resolution. The grand old party advised going all out to find, mobilize, and unite secular forces that share its views.

Some well-known opposition politicians attended the 70th birthday festivities for Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin. Akhilesh Yadav, the president of the Samajwadi Party, Tejashwi Yadav, Behar, the deputy chief minister, and Farooq Abdullah, the patron of the National Conference, all attended the event, which was also perceived as an apparent demonstration of opposition unity ahead of the Lok Sabha elections that will take place next year.

Abdullah urged Stalin to establish himself on a national scale during the ceremony. He did, however, tell Mallikarjun Kharge, the head of the Congress, to stop worrying over who would be prime minister in 2024.

"Stalin now is the moment to enter the national stage and establish the country as you have established this state. I'll tell (Mallikarjun) Kharge Ji to forget who will be the next prime minister. Before deciding who will be prime minister, let's first win the elections. ANI reported the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir as saying, "The PM doesn't matter; the nation counts.

Kharge responded, "All like-minded opposition parties should unite against the splintering forces. I never predicted a leader or a prime minister. That is not the question, exactly. Our objective is to fight alongside one another in unison.

"We ought to involve regional secular forces that share our worldview. The opposition must join immediately to confront the NDA on shared ideological ground. The Congress resolution stated that the BJP/NDA would benefit if a third entity emerged.
