 Several agreements will be signed with prominent Saudi colleges in the next months to support and promote yoga, according to Nouf Al-Marwaai, president of the Saudi Yoga Committee.


According to Arab News, Saudi Arabia plans to introduce yoga to its colleges due to its physical and mental wellness importance.


During her participation in the 4th session, titled "Promotion and development of New Sports Games in Universities," according to Arab News, Al-Marwaai stressed how hard the committee was working to bring yoga to universities and emphasized how crucial it was to practice it for health and wellness.


Yoga will be made available in Saudi Arabian universities.


Then she said, "To increase sports participation and achieve excellence locally, continentally, and globally is one of the key pillars of achieving Vision 2030. 


Yoga offers its practitioners a wide range of health advantages for physical and emotional wellbeing."


Yoga, she continued, "includes Asana posture practice, Pranayamas breathing methods, Bandhas muscle control (and) then comes to Dhayan and Yoga Nidra meditation and relaxation," contrary to what some people might think.


The committee "aims to uncover the talents of notable yoga practitioners in all forms of yoga in general or Yogasana sports, to nurture their talents, and to support them to participate and represent the Kingdom in local and worldwide competitions," she continued.


She said, "Expanding participation in sports and achieving sports excellence locally, continentally, and globally are important components of realizing Vision 2030. 

Yoga offers practitioners numerous health advantages for physical and emotional well-being."


According to Arab News, the event was attended by several specialists and global leaders in university sports, including Paulo Ferreira, the organization's director general, and Leonz Eder, president of the International Universities Sports Federation.
